Having good communication skills is an advantage to anyone who has it. Good communication skills can sway favorable opinions to the one who has it. It’s not easy how to develop communication skills if you don’t have the talent for it. However, if you’re really interested in learning how to do it, you can acquire the talent by working hard. One of the lost arts of today is listening. Listening is the second half of communication. The other half is talking. If you love talking you may think that you’re a good communicator. You have the wrong idea about what communication skill is about. You don’t have communication skills at all, you’re just talkative. And communication for you is just a one way affair. When somebody comes to you for advice, listen as much as you can and ask questions from time to time. And when the other person is finished take your turn.

Finding Links in CommunicationI’ve had a few friends who found success with individual Rocket languages programs, and I think that I want to try several. I’ll of course just get one first in order to brush up or learn a language. I know a bit of Spanish and French, and a little German. So I think that I’d like to work on perfecting those first, and then I’m probably going to move into learning new languages because I’m a little infatuated with the idea of communicating with various different walks of people all around the world. In a few years, I ideally want to be working with languages someplace else, perhaps teaching English to kids in Taiwan, or working my way to civilizations that I haven’t even heard of, spreading the joy of learning languages. It hit me recently, but I never stopped to think how big and how important communication really is to all of us.
